Whisky was distilled in Ecclefechan way back in antiquity
legally or other wise, but sadly no more.
The first recorded distillery is in the early 19th century according to Ecclefechan history and tax returns.
Now only a suggestion of the flavour remains,
a new taste for the heritage of Ecclefechan,
if you enjoy a fine whisky why not try it,
a very palatable lowland experience for those who like a good whisky
